RLabs is excited to announce the support of the The Rockefeller Foundation who invested in the GROW Leadership Academy of 2014. This partnership is going to provide RLabs with an opportunity to increase its reach of developing young leaders in marginalized communities.

For more than 100 years, The Rockefeller Foundation’s mission has been to promote the well-being of humanity throughout the world. Today, we pursue this mission through dual goals: advancing inclusive economies that expand opportunities for more broadly shared prosperity, and building resilience by enabling people, communities and institutions to be prepared for, withstand, and emerge stronger from shocks and chronic stresses.

The GROW Leadership Academy have been operating since 2013 reaching more than 300 young South Africans and Tanzanians. More than 80% of the young leaders have been economically empowered and 117 social projects were started by the GROW Leadership Academy fellows. The support of the Rockefeller Foundation will definitely allow us to increase impact of the work by RLabs and its partners. Below is a video of one of our young leaders in Tanzania sharing her life-changing experience.
