RLabs with its partners NBIC in Namibia and our local team in Botswana received a huge boost from the Southern Africa Innovation Support (SAIS) programme, funded by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). SAIS is a four-year pilot project which seeks to guide innovation in southern Africa. The programme supports collaboration between the innovation systems of African countries in order to create a positive impact on economic and social development in the region.

The €180,000 investment over the next 12 months is part of the SAIS replicable projects in the region where the RLabs model have been identified for expansion into Botswana and Namibia. RLabs have already been active in Namibia for more than 12 months largely due to the support of NBIC and Indigo Trust.

The funds will largely be used to strengthen the team and expand the work in Namibia as well as fund the setup in Botswana. RLabs thanks SAIS for their support and we are excited about this partnership in growing the Social Revolution.
