On 27 February, Namibia witnessed the official inauguration of ScaleUp Namibia (SUN), a groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering the growth and sustainability of local businesses and startups, spearheaded by the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) and the National Commission on Research, Science and Technology (NCRST).

The launch event brought together key stakeholders from various sectors, including government representatives, private sector partners, innovation hubs, and development organizations, all united by a shared vision of strengthening Namibia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

RLabs Namibia Joins the Movement, the team proudly attended the event, reinforcing their commitment to supporting innovative solutions and sustainable business practices. Notably, RLabs Namibia’s Country Coordinator is an integral member of the ScaleUp Namibia implementation committee, contributing expertise in startup incubation, mentorship, and community-driven innovation.

ScaleUp Namibia is designed to provide entrepreneurs with the tools, networks, and resources needed to scale their ventures. The programme focuses on capacity building, access to funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships, all while ensuring inclusive economic growth.
