UNICEF, with the support of the Botnar Foundation – has convened a 2-day workshop being held at RLabs that will use design thinking methodologies but be more technical exploring how we can concretely move forward on the idea of a YOUber which was born at another design process at RLabs last year. The Youber is a digital vehicle or market place that supports young people on their journey of self-realization combining action at the community level with self-development in a smarter and scalable manner using exponential technologies. The value created by young people at the community level is matched by the global demand in critical areas like the environment and livelihoods for young Africans in Africa. It builds on various existing initiatives such as the Zlto of Rlabs and the design challenge-led experiential learning platform of Cartedo. The workshop facilitation is via Paul Steenkamp‘s radical problem-solving consultancy.
