We Experience a Meeting of Art, HOPE & Heritage
In a world constantly seeking symbols of resilience, unity, and transformation, certain moments simply inspire a feeling of HOPE. Earlier this month, we witnessed one such moment which resonated deeply with our mission and community.
We were honoured, and incredibly privileged to welcome world-renowned artist, Marco Olivier, whose presence and generosity left an indubitable impression of the high regard in which our organisation (and its mission) is held. With a purity of purpose, Marco gifted us two of his powerful sculptures, entitled “Face of Nelson Mandela,” each piece embodying the strength, vision, and legacy of the most influential South African leader, who fought tirelessly for freedom and equality.
Marco’s journey, filled with resilience and determination, resonated deeply with everyone present. He shared how the values embodied by Nelson Mandela—perseverance, dreaming big, and fighting for one’s purpose—have guided his path, as well as many others.
His words served as a reminder of the strength found in community and the importance of never giving up on our dreams. This heartfelt value-for-value exchange was met with enthusiasm from the RLabs Champions. The pieces are a significant addition to the RLabs House & Gallery collection. We can’t help but reflect on the history of all art pieces donated to us and what it says about the support we have garnered over the years.
We know we are doing something right, and these demonstrations of faith and appreciation for what we do communicate it so loudly.
